BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech swimming and diving program is back in action for its last home dual contest of the season Saturday at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The H₂Okies will play host to William & Mary and ACC foe Miami and will honor 18 seniors during the second break of the competition. Start time is set for 11 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Virginia Tech swimming and diving program was stopped by ACC opponent NC State this past Wednesday in Raleigh, N.C.

• The No. 17 H₂Okie men tied the Wolfpack, 150-150, for their first ever tie in program history. The only time Tech tied was from the women in the 1968-69 season. The women fell 140-160 against NC State.

• The H₂Okie diving squad dominated the contest, winning all four diving events. Kaylea Arnett led the way for the women, while Logan Shinholser remained perfect for the men. Shinholser, the current ACC Diver of the Week, is on a 10-event winning streak and set a pool record against the Wolfpack.

• Including the diving events, the H₂Okies were victorious in 14 of the 32 events. The women took a total of six, while the men drew even with eight.

SCOUTING THE TRIBE

• William & Mary enter Saturday with a 5-2 dual record from the men with losses from East Carolina and UNC Wilmington. The women have a dual record of 5-4 and have fallen to Towson, Richmond, James Madison and East Carolina.

• This will be the second time the Tribe has entered the CAC this season, as they competed in the H₂Okie Fall Invitational. The men placed fourth out of four teams and the women took fourth in a pool of five teams.

SCOUTING THE HURRICANES

• The Miami Hurricanes enter Saturday with only a women’s squad along with a male diving team. Miami has a 1-5 dual record this season and have lost to Florida State, Duke, NC State and Florida Gulf Coast. Their lone win came against Houston.

• Last season at the ACC Championships, the Hurricanes took sixth, while their men’s diving squad tallied just 27 points.
