BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech swimming and diving program wrap up the fall season, hosting the 2012 H2Okie Fall Invitational starting Thursday and ending Saturday at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The H2Okies welcome William & Mary, South Carolina, Connecticut and the Liberty women to the CAC.

LIVE ONLINE
• The invitational will be streamed online during the finals Friday starting at 6 p.m. and Saturday starting at 4 p.m., which will include the platform event
THE H2OKIES
• The H2Okies enter the final fall home event with a No. 15-ranked men notching a 6-1 dual record and the women that are 7-2 on the season
• Senior Heather Savage is currently undefeated this fall as she has won every individual event this season for the women
• The three Tech men, Zach McGinnis (No. 14 - 100 Back), Jake Ores (No. 9 - 1650 Free) and Morgan Latimer (No. 13 – 200 Fly), are ranked in the nation’s top-15
• Kaylea Arnett leads the H2Okie divers as she is undefeated in the 3-meter this season and has collected two ACC Female Diver of the Week honors
• Diving concludes the fall season in two weekends, traveling to Athens, Ga., for the Georgia Diving Invitational starting on Friday, Nov. 30
SCOUTING THE TRIBE
• The Tribe enters the weekend with a 3-2 dual record for the men and a 3-4 women’s record
• William & Mary is led by Megan Howard who just received Co-CAA Swimming of the Week honors for her efforts against East Carolina
• The freestyler recorded two first and two second-place finishes against the Pirates last weekend
• This is the 20th meeting against the H2Okie women and the Tribe and Tech leads 18-1 in dual meets, while the men have faced each other 11 times
SCOUTING THE HUSKERS
• The Huskers will wrap their fall season up in Blacksburg, while the men are 2-2 and the women are 3-1 in dual meets this season
• Both squads have posted wins over Bucknell and Fordham, while the women have also defeated Army
• Last season, Connecticut placed in the top-six at the BIG EAST Championships with the women playing sixth and the men notching fifth place
SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS
• The Gamecocks also conclude their fall season with the H2Okie Fall Invitational and enter the CAC with a 2-3 men’s dual record and a 1-4 from the women
• Both squads are coming off victories over the College of Charleston last weekend
• Amanda Rutgvist is the only swimmer to enter the CAC with a NCAA qualifying time as she has notched a ‘B’ standard in the 200 breaststroke (2:14.87)
• South Carolina has faced two ACC opponents this season as both teams fell to Virginia and North Carolina
SCOUTING THE LADY FLAMES
• Liberty kicked off its season on Oct. 13 with a win against conference opponent Campbell
• The Lady Flames later came to Blacksburg a month ago for the H2Okies season opener
• Liberty put up quality competition, as it scored 107 points in a loss against Tech
• The Lady Flames won five events, including the 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke, 200 freestyle relay, 100 IM and 50 butterfly
