LOS ANGELES – Sophomore Ryan Hawkins and junior Logan Shinholser of the Virginia Tech swimming & diving squad qualified for the Olympic trials after placing third in the 10-meter synchronized platform in finals of the AT&T National Diving Championships at the UCLA Spieker Aquatics Center.
In addition to Hawkins and Shinholser, incoming freshman Kelli Stockton qualified for the finals in the women’s platform that will take place today, while Shinholser will compete in the 3-meter finals today and 10-meter platform tomorrow.
The AT&T National Diving Championships will be broadcast on NBC Sports and Universal Sports. The broadcast coverage begins with one hour of live coverage of the women’s platform final on NBC at 11 a.m. PDT today, followed by an additional two hours of live coverage on the men’s 3-meter final and women’s synchronized 3-meter final on Universal Sports from 12:30-2:30 p.m. PDT.
The coverage on Sunday, Aug. 14 will feature the men’s platform final on NBC from 12–1 p.m. PDT, followed by Universal Sports coverage of the women’s 3-meter and men’s synchronized 3-meter final from 1:30–3:30 p.m. PDT.
