The Hokies (17-24, 7-14 ACC) return home to face No. 9 Duke over the weekend following four games on the road, most recently a walk-off loss to VMI. In the loss, Junior Nick Menken recorded a career-high four RBI. This weekend’s three-game ACC weekend series will be highlighted with the celebration of 125 years of Tech baseball. The series will kick off on Friday with 90s night (90s music and themes all night). A pregame celebration on Saturday will recognize former Tech baseball players. Sunday will be completed with a trading card giveaway, as well as postgame autographs and an opportunity to run the bases following the conclusion of the game. [Full Preview]

Women’s Tennis
April 27-29 | ACC Championships (Cary, N.C.)

April 27 | 9 a.m. – #15 Miami

The Hokies travel to Cary N.C. for the women’s tennis ACC Championships that began on Wednesday. Tech defeated Louisville 4-1 in the opening round to advance and play No. 17 Florida State at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Tech advances to the quarterfinals after defeating No. 17 Florida State 4-3 where they will take on No. 15 Miami. The Hokies last faced the Hurricanes on April 15 in Coral Gables, Florida. April 27 | 8 p.m. – North Carolina
April 29 | TBA – Finals

The Hokies (13-5, 5-2 ACC) will play North Carolina in the semifinal round of the ACC tournament after beating Duke 13-12 on Thursday night. In their previous meeting on March 28, Tech lost to UNC 12-13. The Hokies enter Friday’s matchup behind a four goal showing by Paige Petty, who recorded her seventh hat trick of the season against Duke. [Full Preview]

The Hokies (20-27, 6-14 ACC) travel to Atlanta in their last ACC series of the season as they take on Georgia Tech beginning on Friday. The series will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. game on both Saturday and Sunday. Tech enters the series behind a strong pitching performance by Carrie Eberle in the previous series against Duke. The Hokies trail the all-time series 23-22 against Georgia Tech, but have won three of the last five meetings. They are currently in contention to qualify for the ACC Softball Championship. Track and Field
April 27-28 | Fayetteville, Ark.
National Relay Championships

The Virginia Tech track and field team heads to Fayetteville, Arkansas to participate in the inaugural National Relay Championships this weekend. The meet begins at 9 a.m. on Friday with the hammer throw and concludes at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday with the 4x400-meter relay. Fifteen Power Five schools join Tech in this event. The Hokies are currently ranked No. 21 on the women’s side and join No. 15 Miami and No. 20 Florida State in Arkansas this weekend. Last weekend, Tech recorded five first-place finishes at four different meets from Sarah Edwards, Sara Freix, Rachel Pocratsky, Deakin Volz, and Lindsay Herra, respectively. [Full Preview]
