2018 Hokie Club Orange and Maroon Tour dates set

The tour, which starts Tuesday with stops in Tazewell and Abingdon, features eight events throughout Virginia, three in North Carolina and one each in Georgia and Maryland

BLACKSBURG – The Hokie Club and the Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced the schedule Monday for this spring’s Orange and Maroon Tour, which starts Tuesday with the Black Diamond Hokie Club event in Tazewell, Virginia and the Southwest Virginia Hokie Club event in Abingdon, Virginia.

Guest speakers at the Black Diamond Hokie Club affair include former men’s basketball standout Bimbo Coles, Associate AD for Sports Medicine Mike Goforth, and other Hokie Athletics VIPs. Those expected to be at the Southwest Virginia Hokie Club outing include men’s basketball coach Buzz Williams and Danielle Bartelstein, senior director of football operations.

The Orange and Maroon Tour consists of 13 stops, including eight at various spots throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. There also will be events held in the North Carolina cities of Raleigh, Charlotte and Greensboro, and one in Roswell, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.

The Orange and Maroon Tour concludes May 3 with the event in Greensboro and a stop in Ijamsville, Maryland, just outside of Frederick.
