Women’s Tennis
Mar. 2 | Blacksburg, Va.

The Hokies look to continue their undefeated season after defeating No. 27 Clemson last weekend to begin ACC play. Tech is off to their best spring start since beginning 2004 with an 8-0 clip. The Hokies are 6-4 all time versus Syracuse. [Full Preview]

The Virginia Tech softball team heads back out on road after a brief stint at home to participate in the Jacksonville Tournament. The team will start at 1 p.m. on Friday as they face Iowa Sate and Campbell in back to back games. They’ll return to the field on Saturday to play Presbyterian at noon. At 2:30 p.m., they’ll play the hosts, Jacksonville, which can be streamed live on WatchESPN. The tournament will conclude on Sunday at 9 a.m. as Tech faces Iowa State. In their first outing of the season at Tech Softball Park, the Hokies displayed strong pitching that only allowed one earned run and put together a string of eight hits. Mar. 3 | 1 p.m. - Purdue
Mar. 4 | 7 p.m. – Central Michigan

The Virginia Tech baseball program will head to Florida this weekend to take on Stetson, Purdue, and Central Michigan in this years Stetson Tournament. The Hokies will kick off play at 7 p.m. on Friday as they face the hosts, Stetson. On Saturday, they’ll head back on the field at 1 p.m. to face Purdue. The tournament will conclude on Sunday at 7 p.m. as they play Central Michigan. All games can be streamed on GoHatters.com. The Hokies picked up their first home win of the season and the first of Coach Szefc’s career in a 3-2 overtime win over Radford on Tuesday. Jack Owens executed a squeeze play that brought home the winning run in the 12^th inning. Graham Seitz picked up his first collegiate win after throwing a scoreless 12^th inning, registering two strikeouts. [Full Preview]

1 p.m. – Duke

The Hokies head down to North Carolina to open ACC play over the weekend. They will start their southern trip in Chapel Hill, taking on UNC at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. They’ll travel to Durham following the match for a slated 1 p.m. match against Duke on Sunday. Tech is 4-24 all time against UNC and 5-24 all time versus Duke. The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team heads to Greensboro, N.C. for the annual ACC Championship. The tournament began on Thursday as the Hokies went on a 27-3 run to ultimately defeat Syracuse and advance to the next round where they will meet Louisville at 2 p.m. on Friday. If they beat Louisville, they will advance to the semifinal round on Saturday at 12 p.m. The tournament will conclude at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Junior guard Taylor Emery exploded for 28 points in the win over Syracuse. She was named to the All-ACC second team earlier this week. In their last matchup, the Hokies fell to Louisville 56-67. Men’s Basketball
Mar. 3 | Coral Gables, Fl.

Tech will conclude their regular season in Coral Gables at 12 p.m. on Saturday as they face ACC foe Miami. The Hokies are coming off a thrilling 64-63 win over No. 5 Duke this past Monday. Junior guard/forward Chris Clarke scored the Hokies last six points, including the put-back that ultimately sealed the win. The Hokies have won four top-15 match ups this season over then ranked No. 2 Virginia, No. 5 Duke, No. 10 North Carolina, and No. 15 Clemson. Junior Justin Robinson scored the 1,000^th point of his career, joining current teammates Justin Bibbs and Ahmed Hill. The win over Duke was the first time this season during ACC play that the Hokies trailed at halftime and came back to win. Tech is 14-21 all-time versus Miami with their last win coming on Monday, February 27, 2017 in Blacksburg.

The Hokies wrestling team travels to the ACC Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C. this weekend. The all-day event, which takes place on Saturday will feature seven ranked Hokies with No. 17 Dennis Gustafson at 133, No. 16 Ryan Blees at 149, No. 4 David McFadden at 165, No. 15 Hunter Bolen at 174, No. 5 Zack Zavatsky at 184, No. 1 Jared Haught at 197, and No. 19 Andrew Dunn at 285.
