Latest online version of Inside Hokie Sports launched
The version includes previews of the basketball teams and in-depth features on Chuck Clark, Murielle Tiernan and Matt Dauby

BLACKSBURG – The second issue of the 2016-17 version of Inside Hokie Sports has been mailed, and Tuesday, the staff launched the latest interactive online version that is free to all fans.

To access the new online version, please click here to get to Inside Hokie Sports’ new web page on hokiesports.com and then click where it says “Read Current Issue.” The new online format includes the implementation of video and photo galleries, and it allows readers to bookmark articles, start a slideshow, and share through one’s social media outlets, along with more.

Past issues can easily be accessed by clicking the links at the bottom of the newly designed web page and comments can be emailed using the form in the bottom right-hand corner. Please feel free to reach out with comments about the magazine or ideas for content.

The second issue serves as the season preview issue for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs and also includes columns from Jimmy Robertson and Jon Laaser, academic spotlights on cross country runner Abigail Motley and women’s swimmer Caroline Buscaglia, and in-depth features on football standout Chuck Clark and women’s soccer All-American Murielle Tiernan. In addition, the issue has season previews for the swimming and diving campaign and the upcoming wrestling season, as the Hokies look to improve on their fourth-place finish at last spring’s NCAA Wrestling Championships.

The headline feature, though, is on baseball player Matt Dauby, who has traveled a long road to overcome the effects of post-concussion syndrome. Dauby shared intimate details of his difficult journey and how appreciative he is to have the opportunity to be a student-athlete here at Virginia Tech.

To subscribe to the print version of the magazine or to renew a subscription to the print version, please click here, or where it says “Subscribe” in the top-right corner of the Inside Hokie Sports web page.

The third issue of Inside Hokie Sports will be printed and mailed later this year, pending the football program’s bowl situation. The online issue will be launched shortly thereafter.
