Virginia Tech vs. Winthrop Game Notes

Virginia Tech hosts Winthrop in Cassell Coliseum on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The Hokies will look to go 3-0 on this homestand, before heading to Miami on Sunday to open ACC play.

About Tonight’s Game

The Hokies are 5-3 on the season.

The Eagles are 5-1 after a 69-57 win over James Madison on Wednesday night.

VT 81, Radford 56

The Hokies jumped out to an early lead and defeated NRV foe Radford, 81-56, on Friday afternoon in Cassell Coliseum.

Adam Smith led all scorers with 28 points and Jarell Eddie and C.J. Barksdale each had double-doubles in the win.

Tech held the Highlanders to just 34.5 percent from the floor, including 18.2 percent from three-point range.

Smith Gets Hot

Adam Smith scored a team season-high 28 points in the win over Radford.

Wilson Ties a Record

Devin Wilson recorded a career-high 11 assists in the win over Furman, tying Dell Curry’s Virginia Tech freshman record for assists in a game.

Eddie Doubles on Doubles

Jarell Eddie has recorded double-doubles in each of the last three games.

C.J. Barksdale added a double-double in the win over Radford.
