BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Virginia Tech will host Florida State in Cassell Coliseum on Sunday night. The game will tip-off at 6 p.m. and will be televised by ESPNU.

About This Evening’s Game

The Hokies are 11-15 on the season and 2-11 in ACC play after losing to No. 6/6 Duke on Thursday night in Cassell Coliseum.

Florida State is 14-12 overall and 6-7 in ACC action after an 84-66 loss at NC State on Tuesday.

This is the only meeting between these two schools this season.

Erick Green scored 22 points and C.J. Barksdale recorded a career-high 14 points in a n 88-56 loss to No. 6/6 Duke on Thursday night in Cassell Coliseum. Cadarian Raines added 10 points in the loss.

Erick Green leads the ACC and the nation in scoring.

Green has scored 20-or-more points in 24 of the 26 games this season.

Green’s 25.2 ppg this season is one-tenth of a point behind the Virginia Tech senior season record of 25.3 ppg, set by Bimbo Coles in his senior season of 1990.

Erick Green’s 35 points in the home loss to Virginia marks the most points by an ACC player in a game this season. Green has three of the ACC’s eight 30-plus point games this season.

The Hokies have played in four of the six overtime games played this season by ACC teams. Tech defeated Georgia Tech and lost at UNC and at NC State in the only ACC conference overtime games this season.

The Hokies started four Virginians at Virginia. All five starters graduated from high schools in Virginia.
