HOKIE CLUB

Founded in 1949 as the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund with the expressed

purpose of funding scholarships for student-athletes at Tech, today the Hokie

Club serves as the official conduit between fans and Virginia Tech Athletics.

“I know firsthand from both my experience as a player and from coaching

just how important scholarships are to young people here at Virginia Tech,”

Frank Beamer said, who earned a football scholarship to Tech long before

embarking on his legendary coaching career. “Scholarships change lives,

and that’s why Cheryl and I have always been willing to give to help these

student-athletes not just to play sports, but to be a part of such a special

place and get a degree. Many of my former players wouldn’t have received

that opportunity otherwise.”

Simply put, joining the Hokie Club and making an annual gift to the

Hokie Scholarship Fund to help provide scholarships for student-athletes

is the best way you can make an impact on the lives of those young men

and women who represent Virginia Tech Athletics.

“I want to personally thank those who believed in our vision and

wanted to play an integral part in our success; who invested and wanted

to directly elevate our program within the ACC and on a national stage,”

added Director of Athletics Whit Babcock. “They are playing a huge role

in our success and continued momentum. We are sincerely grateful. We

will continue to work hard, every day, to represent them well and make

them proud.”
