Updated fan information for Tech's ACC baseball series versus Pittsburgh

Tech will face Panthers at 1 p.m. on Friday, doubleheader slated for Saturday

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech has adjusted its baseball schedule for its ACC opening weekend series against Pittsburgh based on this weekend’s weather forecast. First pitch for Friday’s game at English Field at Union Park is now scheduled for 1 p.m. The Hokies and Panthers will play a doubleheader Saturday with first pitch for Game 1 set for noon. The second game of the doubleheader will begin approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Beginning with this series and for the remainder of the season, the only fan entrance for English Field at Union Park will be the main entrance to the facility. Gates will open each day 90 minutes prior to first pitch. This main entrance can be accessed by foot off of Duck Pond Drive – directly across from the entrance to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. All fans – suite & tabletop holders, season ticket holders and general admission – will need to enter at this location.

For this series, a limited number of chairback seats will be available for fans in the seating bowl. These seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Terrace seating continues to be available, as well as concessions.
