Hokies' ACC-opening series at Duke altered by weather

Opener is still Friday, but with a 4 p.m. start, while Saturday is now a doubleheader

DURHAM, N.C. – With the anticipation of a winter storm heading into the Raleigh-Durham area late Saturday night, the Virginia Tech baseball ACC series opener at Duke has been changed in order to get all three games played.

The opener is still set for Friday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, but first pitch is now scheduled for 4 p.m. – two hours earlier than the original start time.

Saturday will now feature a doubleheader with the first game at Durham Bulls Athletic Park set for 1 p.m. The second game of the day will be competed roughly 45 minutes after the final pitch of game one on Saturday.

All three games will still be shown on the ACC Digital Network and can be heard live on the Virginia Tech Radio Network
