Hokies assist in 2014 Tech move-in day
Players complete event No. 2 of their 19 Ways campaign

BLACKSBURG – For the fifth straight academic year, the Virginia Tech baseball team has challenged itself by continuing the 19 Ways campaign, as the baseball players must find 19 ways to help make a difference within the community this upcoming academic year.

Event No. 2 for #Hokieball included volunteering for the 2014 Hokie Helpers move-in campaign, which saw them assist newcomers to the campus in unpacking and transporting their belongings to their new home during a four-hour period on Friday afternoon.

Event No. 1 was Lemonade for Livy, which saw the players sell lemonde for three straight days and raise $750 for the Epilepsy Foundation and their goal to find a cure for epilepsy. The full release on the event can be viewed here.

Other events anticipated for the fifth year of 19 Ways include their annual Shave for the Brave and military appreciation breakfast, and assisting in efforts with Micah’s Backpack, Taste of Inspiration (partners with the Special Olympics), No Shave November and Special Olympics bowling nights to name a few.
