BLACKSBURG - With the recent weather that hit the region, Virginia Tech baseball has made some changes to its weekend schedule. The Hokies now open the 2014 season with a pair of games in Charleston, S.C.
Tech will play The Citadel, a team it hasn't seen since the 2010 NCAA regional in Columbia, S.C., to open the season. The game is slated for a 4 p.m. first pitch on Friday.
The Hokies return to the field on Saturday to face Delaware in a game scheduled for 11 a.m.
