BLACKSBURG – The 2014 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-American teams as selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper, were released today, Monday, Dec. 23, and junior catcher Mark Zagunis was slotted as a second team player.
There were 13 Atlantic Coast players selected to one of the three preseason teams, but again, Zagunis and NC State's Trea Turner, a shortstop, were the only two non-pitchers or outfielders named to either of the first two teams.
This is the second preseason honor for the Cinnaminson, N.J. native as he was picked as a second team catcher by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association last week (see release here).
