
BLACKSBURG, Va. – Fresh off their run to the ACC title game, the Virginia Tech Hokies were rewarded with their first ever regional host and on Monday afternoon, they learned of the teams that will be joining them at English Field this upcoming weekend.
The No. 1 seed in the NCAA Blacksburg Regional, which will be held May 31 through June 3, is the Hokies and they will face No. 4 seed and Big East Champions Connecticut, in the second game of day one at 5:30 p.m. at English Field.
Playing in the first game of Friday’s doubleheader will be No. 2 seed and Big 12 Champions Oklahoma and No. 3 seed and Big South Conference South Division Champions Coastal Carolina, in a game that will start at 1 p.m. on Friday.

This will be the Hokies 10th appearance in the NCAA Championship and their first bid since 2010.
