ACC announces championship schedule

Hokies to face Virginia in their first game on Wednesday

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The ACC office has announced the dates, opponents and times for all 13 games that will be played during the 2013 ACC Baseball Championship and Virginia Tech will play all three of its games during the first three days of the competition.

No. 6 Virginia Tech will face No. 3 seed Virginia on Wednesday in the day’s second game, with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.

The Hokies will meet No. 2 seed Florida State in Thursday’s nightcap, which is slated for a 7 p.m. start.

Tech will conclude its pool play portion of the championship against No. 7 seed Georgia Tech on Friday at 3 p.m.

The ACC championship game will be held on Sunday, May 26 at 1 p.m. All 13 games will be played at Durham Bulls Park in Durham, N.C.
