BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech baseball has announced it will begin an online auction that will start on Friday in conjunction with an alumni reunion weekend the Hokies are hosting this upcoming weekend.

The auction, which will feature the Hokies throwback “Astros” jerseys, begins on Friday, September 30 at 9:00 p.m., will run through the next week and will close on Monday, October 10 at 9:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to bid needs to visit the following site: http://www.hokiesports.com/auction/.

There will be a minimum bid of $100 and all orders will have a $25 shipping fee added to the end of the bid, unless the winning bidder chooses to pick up their jersey in person. All proceeds will benefit the Virginia Tech baseball program.

Also, starting on Saturday, the Hokies are hosting an alumni weekend, which will include a tailgate before the football game between #11 Virginia Tech and #13 Clemson at Lane Stadium. Other events are also scheduled for Sunday (see below).

Schedule of Events

Saturday

3:00 p.m. – Tailgate begins at the hitting facility at English Field

6:00 p.m. – Kickoff at Lane Stadium

Sunday

10:00 a.m. – Final team practice of the fall. Alumni are invited to either watch or participate in the workout.

11:15 a.m. – Alumni home run derby
