GREENSBORO, N.C. – At least 44 baseball games featuring Atlantic Coast Conference teams are scheduled to be telecast during the 2011 season, Commissioner John Swofford announced on Monday, and includes at least a pair involving Virginia Tech.
The slate of games includes eight Saturday afternoon broadcasts of ACC games on the Regional Sports Network, a group of regionally-based outlets that will provide coverage to all areas of the league’s geographical footprint. One of those Saturday's broadcasts will be from English Field when Tech battles Florida State on April 16 at 1 p.m.
In addition, RSN will carry all 13 games of the 2011 ACC Championship, scheduled for May 25-29 at Durham (N.C.) Bulls Athletic Park. This will mark the fourth consecutive season that RSN will carry all of the ACC Championship games live.
Regionally, at least 23 additional conference and non-conference games are scheduled to be televised, beginning with Florida State’s home game against Jacksonville on Feb. 22. The Hokies will be apart of a regional game when they face Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. on Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m. Comcast Sports Southeast will televise this game.
