No. 45 Tech to face No. 39 Old Dominion, Tulane
Hokies travel to Norfolk for a pair of non-conference matches

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team, ranked 45th, will take to the road for a pair of non-conference matches over the weekend, beginning with No. 39 Old Dominion on Friday, March 9 at 1 p.m. Tech will remain in Norfolk, Virginia to face Tulane on Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m.

THE HOKIES (8-2, 1-2 ACC)
Virginia Tech is looking to bounce back after falling, 5-2 to No. 12 Wake Forest last time out. Freshmen Nika Kozar and Nina Sorkin picked up wins for the Hokies in the match.
Natalie Novotna enters the weekend ranked 52nd and has a 7-3 record this spring. Katherine Butler and Caroline Daxhelet are 8-2 while Kozar and Sorkin are 7-2. Elena Cerezo-Codina is adding a 6-2 mark this spring.
THE MONARCHS (11-3, 3-0 C-USA)
Old Dominion is coming off a 4-0 win over West Virginia the last time out and is currently on a three-match win streak. The Monarchs picked up the singles point against the Mountaineers and followed with singles wins from Holly Hutchinson, Yulia Starodubtseva and Victoria Olivarez.
Adriana Rajkovic is 10-0 this spring, playing primarily in the five and six. Starodubtseva is adding an 11-2 mark in duals while Victoria Olivarez is 10-1.
THE GREEN WAVE (7-5, 0-0 AAC)
Tulane split decisions the last time out, defeating Chattanooga 5-2 before falling to Middle Tennessee 0-4. Against the Mocs, Tulane won the doubles point and claimed singles wins from Sade Atkinson, Elena Muller, Christina Sisti and Alex Alegre.
Ivone Alvaro is posting a 5-2 record this spring, including 5-1 at the three. Sisti is adding a 5-3 record while Atkinson is 4-4.
UP NEXT: Virginia Tech remains on the road, traveling to Notre Dame on Friday, March 16 for a noon match. The Hokies will play at Louisville on Sunday, March 18 at 1 p.m.
