Hokies wrap up day two of All-American Championships

MALIBU, Calif. – The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team wrapped up the second day of competition on Sunday at the 2017 ITA Women’s All-American Championships in Malibu, California.

Tech’s Elena Cerezo-Codina was on the court Sunday in the final round of the prequalyfing draw, taking on Loyola Marymount’s seeded-player Eva Marie Voracek. The Lions’ player took the match, defeating Cerezo-Codina 6-4, 7-5 to advance in the qualifying rounds.

The Hokies will be back on the court in the qualifying rounds as Natalie Novotna competes in singles and Cerezo-Codina and Caroline Daxhelet take the court for doubles beginning Monday in Pacific Palisades, California.
