Tech set for ITA Women's All-American Championships
Four student-athletes traveling to California to represent the Hokies

BLACKSBURG - Natalie Novotna, Caroline Daxhelet, Elena Cerezo-Codina and Nika Kozar will represent the Virginia Tech women’s tennis team at the 2017 ITA All-American Championships in California this upcoming week.
Elena Cerezo-Codina and Caroline Daxhelet will both play for the prequalifying singles while Nika Kozar and Natalie Novotna will pair up to compete in the pre-qualifying doubles. The prequalifying matches will be held in Malibu, California at Pepperdine University. Tech will look to advance out of the prequalifying round into qualifiers.
The Hokies will then travel to Pacific Palisades, California in order to play in the qualifying rounds that will be hosted at Riviera Tennis Club. The women’s tennis team will be represented by 56th-ranked Novotna in qualifying singles and 53rd-ranked pair, Daxhelet and Cerezo-Codina, in qualifying doubles.
During this nine-day tournament, the Virginia Tech women’s tennis team will face off against teams from all over the country, including several top-25 programs.
The Hokies will open play Saturday, Sept. 30 in the prequalifying singles draw. Qualifying matches will start on Oct. 3, and contestants selected for or who advance through the rounds into main draw will get underway on Oct. 5.
