Tech women's tennis releases schedule

2017-18 Schedule

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech women’s tennis head coach Terry Ann Zawacki-Woods announced the 2017-18 schedule on Thursday.

The Hokies, in the midst of fall tournament play, will continue competition this upcoming week at the ITA All-American Championships. Tech will also compete at the Wake Forest Invitational before returning home to host the ITA Atlantic Regional. The Hokies will travel to the Wofford Fall Invitational at the end of October before wrapping up the fall season hosting the Hokie Fall Invitational.

Tech will get spring duals started at home, hosting ETSU and Appalachian State in a doubleheader on Jan. 26. The Hokies will remain at home for an out-of-conference Power 5 match against Missouri before taking to the road for Marshall.

Virginia Tech will begin a home-stand on Feb. 17 with a doubleheader against Radford and Liberty before hosting Wisconsin on Feb. 23. Tech will open ACC play at home on Feb. 24 against Clemson and will host Syracuse on March 2.

The Hokies go back on the road at Wake Forest (March 4), Old Dominion and Tulane in Norfolk (March 9 & 10), Notre Dame (March 16) and Louisville (March 18). Tech will break up the road swing with a home match against Pittsburgh on March 23 before traveling to North Carolina on March 25.

Virginia Tech will close out the schedule playing four of the Hokies’ final seven matches at Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center including Boston College (March 30), NC State (April 1), Virginia (April 7) and Georgia Tech (April 20). The Hokies will be on the road during that time at Florida State (April 13), Miami (April 15) and Duke (April 22).

The Hokies will travel to Cary, N.C. April 25-29 for the ACC Championships.
