Tech checks in at No. 44 in the Oracle/ITA National Rankings

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team checks in at No. 44 in this week’s Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Collegiate Tennis Women’s Division I National Rankings released on Tuesday afternoon.

This week’s rankings are the first computerized national women’s team rankings of the 2017 season. Tech is one of 10 Atlantic Coast Conference teams ranked in this week’s top-50 poll, with four league schools ranked in the top 25.

Additionally, junior Caroline Daxhelet sits inside the Oracle/ITA National Singles Rankings for the sixth straight week at No. 92. She currently holds a 1-2 dual-match record on court three and a 1-1 dual-match mark on court four.

The Hokies (6-2) return home to close out their non-conference schedule with a match against Old Dominion on Saturday, Feb. 25. First serve is set for noon.
