Stoica selected to compete in 2014 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships
Stoica is currently ranked No. 64 in the country

BLACKSBURG, Va.- Junior Ilinca Stoica will compete in the 2014 edition of the prestigious Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American tournament, building on the successes of her two previous seasons that include earning spots on All-ACC teams and defeating multiple ranked opponents. Stoica will begin play on Tuesday, September 30th at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, California against an undetermined opponent as a part of the tournament’s qualifying round.

The All-American Championships include a long list of top competitors from top teams around the country, including representatives from nine other ACC schools. The tournament includes pre-qualifying, qualifying, and main draw rounds spanning from September 27th to October 5th.

Sophomore Francesca Fusinato, ranked No. 87 in the country by ITA, was also selected to compete in the tournament, but was forced to withdraw due to injury.

If Stoica makes it through the qualifying round, she’ll compete in the main draw portion of the tournament, which is slated to take place October 2nd-5th.
