BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team will travel to William & Mary and Marshall this weekend as they continue their non-conference schedule.
The Hokies moved up two spots in the ITA Rankings to No. 52 despite a two-loss weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich., last weekend. Tech fell to No. 11 Michigan, 6-1, and No. 28 Tulsa, 4-2, in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend hosted by Michigan.
Isel Martinez-Marcos was a highlight of the Tech effort, though, as she won both of her singles matches on the weekend.
Tech travels to William & Mary for a 6 p.m. match against the Griffin on Friday. William & Mary is ranked No. 43 in the latest ITA Rankings, boasting three ranked singles players and a ranked doubles team.
The Hokies will make the trip to Marshall on Sunday to take on the Herd at Noon. Marshall is 2-0 heading into the weekend. They will take on West Virginia on Saturday before hosting Tech on Sunday.
Tech will come back to the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on February 8 for a double-header against ETSU at Noon and Morgan State at 5 p.m.
