Hokies ready for final travel weekend
Tech travels to Clemson and Georgia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team will travel to No. 14 Clemson and No. 19 Georgia Tech this weekend for a pair of matches.

The Hokies fell to N.C. State and Wake Forest last weekend in Blacksburg in matches on Friday and Sunday respectively. After to 0-2 weekend, the Hokies fell out of the ITA Rankings.

This weekend, Tech will take on Clemson on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Tiger have three ranked players in Yana Koroleva (No. 17), Anne-Liz Jeukeng (No. 24) and Beatrice Gumulya (No. 33). Clemson brings a 10-6, 5-2 ACC record to this weekend’s match.

After the match at Clemson, the Hokies will travel to Georgia Tech. Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets is No. 80 Elizabeth Kilborn and No. 108 Kendal Woodard. Georgia Tech improved to 10-7, 4-3 ACC after a win at Duke last weekend.

The Hokies are back in action for their final weekend campaign as the return to Blacksburg to host Miami and Florida state on April 20 and 21 respectively.
