BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The No. 56 Virginia Tech women's tennis team will travel to Weymouth, Mass. to take on the No. 62 Boston College Eagles on Saturday, March 16.
The Hokies moved up in the ITA rankings for the second week in a row after making their 2013 debut at No. 68 in the February 26 rankings.
Earlier this week, the Hokies swept a double-header in Hammond, La. as they defeated Southern, 7-0, and Southeastern Louisiana, 6-1. Tech handed Southeastern Louisiana their first loss of the season, as well.
With the two wins, The Hokies improved to 12-2 on the season and have now won six in a row.
Boston College brings a 6-1 record to the match. The Eagles take on Massachusetts on Friday, March 15 before taking on the Hokies on Saturday.
Then No. 45 Boston College traveled to No. 41 Long Beach State on March 8 and were dealt their first loss of the season 5-2.
Leading the way for the Eagles is sophomore Jessica Wacnik at No. 1 singles.
The Hokies return to action on Saturday, March 23 when they travel to Charlottesville, Va. to take on the Virginia Cavaliers.
