Hokies travel to VCU
Tech to make midweek road trip

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team will travel to Richmond, Va., Tuesday to take on the VCU Rams.

The Hokies enter Tuesday with a 6-1 record. The last time out, Tech topped both UMBC and Liberty 6-1 in a Sunday, February 10 double-header.

Doubles play has been a strong point for the Hokies, as they have yet to lose the doubles point. Carol Kahoun and Raluca Mita have teamed up to start the season 5-0 in doubles play.

Singles play has been led by Kelly Williford and Tea Ivanovic who have posted 6-0 and 6-1 records, respectively.

VCU enters the contest ranked 49th with an 8-3 record. Leading the way for the Rams is Cindy Chala with a 5-2 record at No. 1 singles.

The Hokies will not be back in action until March 2 when they travel to West Virginia after Tuesday’s outing.
