BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech sophomore women’s tennis player Tea Ivanovic won the C flight singles on Sunday during the final day of the Hokie Fall Invitational at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Va.
Ivanovic defeated Lindsay Dvorak of Tulane in straight sets with scores of 6-1, 6-0 to claim the flight title.
The Hokies’ Katie Blow claimed third place in the flight D singles with a 6-0, 6-1 decision over Radford’s Meg Napolitano.
In the A flight singles, Tech’s Isel Martinez-Marcos won by default in her scheduled third place match against William & Mary’s Katie Kargl. Martinez-Marcos picked up an extra match against Radford’s Taylor Newman and defeated the Highlander’s player, 6-2, 6-2.
The Hokie Fall Invitational wraps up the fall season for Tech. The Hokies will begin the spring season Saturday, Jan. 28, hosting Elon and East Carolina.
