Hokies see mixed results at Kitty Harrison Invitational
Tech wins four singles, one doubles match

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team had mixed results on Saturday in the Kitty Harrison Invitational winning four of seven singles matches and dropping three of four doubles contests. The tournament is hosted by the University of North Carolina and is being held at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center where both indoor and outdoor courts are being utilized. Matches are also being played at Duke University’s Amble Tennis Stadium and Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.

The tournament features players from Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, NC State, Princeton, TCU, Virginia, Virginia Tech and William & Mary. Each player will participate in four rounds of singles and four rounds of doubles. There will be no team scoring in the event.

On Sunday, Tech will complete play at the UNC complex where the Hokies will play doubles at 9 a.m. and singles at 10:30 a.m.
