SAVANNAH, Ga. - Katie Blow and Emily Lauten concluded play on Sunday in The Landings Clay Court Collegiate Invitational being played at The Landing Club. The event divided players into two groups for singles play with a round robin format for doubles and includes players from two-time defending NCAA Division II National Champion Armstrong Atlantic State, The College of Charleston, Auburn-Montgomery and Virginia Tech.
On the final day, Blow (So., Richmond, Va.) lost a marathon Group 2 match, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5) against Morgane Zwoczak (Auburn-Montgomery). The Hokie pair dropped their final doubles match, 8-1, against Kathleen Henry/Tina Ronel (Armstrong Atlantic State).
The Hokies will conclude the fall season, Nov. 6-8, at the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
