ROCK HILL, S.C.-- The Virginia Tech women's tennis team cruised past Winthrop, 6-1, Thursday afternoon on the road. The Hokies, ranked No. 60 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, improved to 8-3 on the year while the Eagles fell to 7-7 on the year.
The Hokies return to action on Mar. 12 with a match at Tulane.
