The Virginia Tech women’s golf team has a two round total of 612 and is in 11th place at the 2017 ACC Women’s Golf Championship on Friday afternoon. The three-day event is being played at the 6,192 yards and par 72 The Reserve Golf Club in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.
Elizabeth Bose, a sophomore from Norfolk, Virginia, leads the Hokies with a 4-over 148, tied for 29th place individually. She trails co-leaders Kim Metraux of Florida State and Leona Maguire of Duke by eight strokes.
Whitney Stevenson, a senior from Canton, Georgia, is tied for 43rd place at 154 and Amanda Hollandsworth, a redshirt sophomore from Floyd, Virginia, is tied for 47th place at 155. Anne Taylor Hough, a sophomore from Spartanburg, South Carolina, is in 55th place at 159 and Allison Woodward, a redshirt sophomore from Unicoi, Tennessee, is in 58th place at 166.
Duke leads the tournament with a 6-under 570, nine strokes ahead of Clemson, Florida State and North Carolina. NC State and Miami are tied for fifth at 586 and Notre Dame is seventh at 595. Louisville is eighth at 596 and Virginia and Boston College are tied for ninth at 597, 15 strokes ahead of the Hokies. Wake Forest is 12th at 620.
