Hollandsworth leads Hokies on final day of ACC Championship
Tech finishes in 12th place at conference championship

GREENSBORO, N.C.. – The Virginia Tech golf team finished the 2016 ACC Championship in 12th place on Sunday.

Redshirt freshman Amanda Hollandsworth led the Hokies in the final round, finishing in a tie for 33rd place after shooting a three over 76 to close the weekend. Hollandsworth led the team with 33 holes played to par and six birdies. The Hokies were one of three teams with multiple eagles on the weekend, after Elizabeth Bose and Anne Taylor Hough both recorded one on Sunday.

The ACC Championships served as the point in the Commonwealth Clash, presented by Virginia529, the official college savings plan of Virginia Tech Athletics. With a higher finish today from Virginia women’s golf they have added a point for their school to the Virginia529 Commonwealth Clash.
