Hokies tee off at ACC Championship
Tech takes on field at first conference championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the first time in Virginia Tech history, the women’s golf team will tee off at the ACC Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Friday. Leading the team in its first season, head coach Carol Robertson and the team will face off against the field of 12 beginning at 8 a.m., paired with Boston College and Clemson. North Carolina, Wake Forest and Miami are next at 8:50 a.m., followed by Louisville, NC State and Notre Dame at 9:40 a.m. Defending conference champion Virginia, Duke and Florida State have the morning’s final tee time at 10:30 a.m.

The Hokies are coming off a 14th place finish at the Clemson Invitational in their most recent outing. The ACC Championships serve as the point in the Commonwealth Clash, presented by Virginia529, the official college savings plan of Virginia Tech Athletics. Whichever school records a higher team finish will add a point for their school to the Virginia529 Commonwealth Clash. The score for the Clash is now, University of Virginia 9 and Virginia Tech 5.
