Hokies head to Clemson Invitational
Tech closes regular season in South Carolina

CLEMSON, S.C.. – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team concludes regular season play in its inaugural season Friday, when it heads to South Carolina for the Clemson Invitational.

The field includes top 25 teams from Florida (8), Tennessee (19) and Texas A&M (22), and top 50 teams from Furman, Houston, Michigan State and the host school Clemson. Rounding out the field are Augusta State, Boston College, Kennesaw State, Oklahoma, UNC-Wilmington and Vanderbilt. Tech will hit the links at 11 a.m., paired with Oklahoma and UNC-Wilmington, with Allison Woodward leading off for the Hokies.

The Hokies are led by Amanda Hollandsworth and Elizabeth Bose, who finished in a tie for 38th place at the Briar’s Creek Invitational, rising five spots after shooting matching one-over 73s in the final round. The pair ended the event at six over to serve as the team’s low men for the weekend.
