Hokies head to Briar's Creek Invitational
Tech to start fourth event of the spring on Monday

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.. – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team opens its fourth event of the spring on Monday when they take on the field at the Briar’s Creek Invitational.

Tech will hit the links starting at 8:45 a.m., with Amanda Hollandsworth opening the day for the Hokies, who will be paired with Maryland and Boston College..

The Hokies are led by Hollandsworth, who earned her first collegiate top-10 finish last weekend at the 3M Augusta Invitational. Hollandsworth was the team’s lowman in two of three rounds, shooting under par in the first and second before finishing with a three over final round to land in a tie for seventh place. The redshirt freshman led the field on par 5 holes, averaging 4.25 strokes per hole, and recorded one of the just seven eagles on the weekend.
