Hokies tie for 10th at 3M Augusta Invitational
Hollandsworth earns first top-10 finish to lead Tech

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team finished the weekend in a tie for 10th place, with Amanda Hollandsworth earning her first top-10 finish at the 3M Augusta Invitational.

Hollandsworth was the team’s lowman in two of three rounds, shooting under par in the first and second before finishing with a three over final round to land in a tie for seventh place. The redshirt freshman led the field on par 5 holes, averaging 4.25 strokes per hole, and recorded one of the just seven eagles on the weekend. Teammate Nicolette Donovan joined Hollandsworth in the top-25, shooting a team-best 73 in the final round to move up two spots and finish in a tie for 21st.
Tech will return to action on Monday, March 21, when the team heads to Hilton Head, S.C., for the Briar’s Creek Invitational.
