Hokies finish 15th at Hurricane Invitational
Donovan and Hollandsworth finish in top-50 after even-par final rounds

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team finished in 15th place at the 2016 Hurricane Invitational, which wrapped up on Wednesday.

The team finished with a weekend-best six-over final round, including tournament-low scores from two of five student-athletes. Nicolette Donovan led the team with her second even-par score of the event, finishing in sole possession of 19th place and just two over on the weekend.

Amanda Hollandsworth joined Donovan in the top-50, rising 13 spots to finish in a tie for 49th place at 10-over overall after an even-par round. Hollandsworth led the team with 11 birdies, followed closely by 10 from teammate Donovan.

The Hokies are back in action Friday, March 11, when they take on the field at the 3M Augusta Invitational in Augusta, Ga.
