CORAL GABLES, Fl. – The Hokies sit in 15^th place after the first day of the Hurricane Invitational after shooting a 19-over 303 to open play.

Nicolette Donovan leads Tech, currently in a tie for 11^th-place after the first round. Donovan’s even-par 71 puts her four strokes out of first place, including 13 pars, the second-highest total among the field. Amanda Hollandsworth, sitting at four-over in a tie for 45^th with teammate Whitney Stevenson, who is playing as an individual, leads the field with six birdies during the first round.

The Hokies will tee off Tuesday beginning at 8:10 a.m. paired with ACC opponent Louisville and Baylor.
