BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Incoming Tech freshman Elizabeth Bose claimed the 46th Virginia State Golf Association Junior Girls’ Championship. Bose won the competition on the first playoff hole at the Nansemond River Golf Club in Suffolk, Va. The Norfolk, Va., native carded a +4 in the 36-hole, two-round event with four birdies in round two.
Bose will be part of head coach Carol Robertson’s squad that will begin competition at Tech this fall. Robertson, a native of Tazewell, Va., announced the Hokies’ 2016 spring schedule on Thursday.
“Our squad is excited to begin competing this fall and we’re looking forward to a challenging spring schedule, as well,” Robertson said. “We look forward to representing Hokie Nation on some great courses around the nation.”
