Hokies hold same spots in latest USTFCCCA Top 25 poll
Tech remains highest-rated teams out of the ACC

NEW ORLEANS – Heading into the fourth week of competition during the outdoor season, the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its Top 25 rankings on Monday afternoon, with the Virginia Tech men coming in No. 13 and the women at No. 18, the same rankings for the two squads as the previous week.
Tech owns the highest-rated team on both sides out of the ACC for the second consecutive week.
The Hokies are the only school from the ACC to have both of its units ranked inside the Top 25. The men are one of two schools from the conference, with Virginia at No. 23, and the women are one of two teams ranked from the league, too, with Florida State at No. 19.
Tech is coming off a successful Friday at the VertKlasse Meeting on the campus of High Point. It turned in three first-place finishes in the sprints, as Ama-Selina Tchume won the 200- and 400-meter races and Shanel Burr took home the 100-meter hurdles. Additionally, it saw five other top-five finishes from Matthew Baker, Jaelyn Demory, Austin Kolko, Olivia Privitera and Deakin Volz.
The Hokies will goes as one unit with all five disciplines to the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville, Tennessee, starting on Thursday and concluding on Saturday at Tom Black Track.
