GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the third time this year, senior Chris Uhle was named the ACC Field Performer of the Week as announced by the ACC office on Tuesday afternoon.

Uhle set a personal best and climbed to No. 5 in the NCAA rankings after an impressive showing in the men’s pole vault at the Tennessee Relays. Uhle’s mark of 5.41 meters (17-9) moves the Powell, Ohio, senior to fifth all-time in the Virginia Tech record books and is currently the highest mark in the ACC this season.

Uhle previously won the award twice during the indoor season. The Hokies have claimed performer of the week honors twice already this season as Irena Sediva claimed the honors twice thus far during the outdoor season.

The Hokies will be back in action this weekend when they head to the University of Virginia for the Virginia Challenge.
