Women's sprints close out Raleigh Relays with impressive finishes
Burr, Blanden and Tchume post top-10 finishes

RALEIGH, N.C. - Women’s sprints showed well at the Raleigh Relays to close out the meet on Saturday evening.

Shanel Burr, competing in the finals of the 100-meter hurdles, finished in fifth place overall with an impressive time of 13.91 seconds.

In the women’s 200-meter race, Courtney Blanden finsished in sixth place crossing the finish line at 25.61 seconds. Ama-Selina Tchume posted an eighth-place finish with a time of 25.86 seconds.

The Hokies will be back in action next weekend when the squad splits up at the Florida Relays and the Auburn Invitational.
