BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech track & field team will split up this weekend at two separate meets. The sprinters and jumpers will attend the Marshall Invitational hosted by Marshall University while the distance runners will compete in the Iowa State Classic hosted by Iowa State.

At Marshall, the meet will feature Manuel Ziegler in the triple jump. In addition, the Hokies will see football players J.C. Coleman and Demitri Knowles in the 60-meter dash.

The Iowa State Classic pits several of the Hokies’ top distance runners against the nation’s elite. Thomas Curtin will be featured in the men’s 5000-meter race, while Patrick Joseph will participate in the 3000-meter race. Hanna Green and Amanda Smith will take part in the women’s 800-meter race.
