Tech welcomes top competition to Doc Hale Virginia Tech Elite Meet
Nine total ranked teams to compete at meet

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The No. 10 Virginia Tech men’s track and field team and the Virginia Tech women’s track & field team will host some of the nation’s best teams this Friday and Saturday at the Doc Hale Virginia Tech Elite Meet at Rector Field House.

The Virginia Tech men’s track & field team comes into the meet ranked No. 10 and will be competing against several nationally ranked opponents. The men will be competing against 10 other ACC schools including No. 19 Florida State. The men will also welcome four SEC schools including No. 2 Florida, No. 6 Georgia and No. 25 Tennessee.

The women’s team will also be hosting some of the nation’s elite. Ten other ACC opponents will be in attendance including No. 12 Florida State. Tech will also welcome four SEC schools including No. 1 Florida, No. 2 Georgia and No. 6 Kentucky.

Events will begin Friday at 5 p.m. and will resume Saturday at 11 a.m. Live results will be available here.
