GREENSBORO, N.C. – After an impressive weekend at the Hokie Garden Innvitational, Thomas Curtin was named the ACC Track Performer of the Week by the ACC office on Tuesday afternoon.
Thomas Curtin was an integral part in helping the Virginia Tech men hit No. 10 in the latest USTFCCCA Rankings. Curtin ranks second in the nation in the men's 3000-meter distance with an impressive time of 7:50.63.
This is the fourth time this season that a Virginia Tech athlete has received one of the ACC’s Performer of the Week honors as Chris Uhle has received the honor twice while Manuel Ziegler has earned the honor once, both in field events.
Curtin and the Hokies will be back in action this weekend as the track & field teams host some of the nation’s best teams at the Virginia Tech Elite Meet.
