GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the second time this season, pole vaulter Chris Uhle was named the ACC Men's Field Performer of the week after an impressive performance at the Hokie Invitational this past weekend as announced by the ACC office this afternoon.
Uhle set a personal best for the third time this season this time hitting a height of 18’1.25” (5.52m). His new personal best ranks him fifth nationally and first in the ACC. That mark puts Uhle in a tie for second place all-time in the Virginia Tech school record books.
Hokies have claimed the ACC Field Performer of the Week all three weeks the award has been given. Uhle claimed the award the first week it was given out and Manuel Ziegler received the honors during the second week.
The Hokies will be back in action this weekend when some athletes head to the Hilton Garden Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. and others head to the Penn State National Meet.
