In order to be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have a 3.30 on a 4.0 academic scale as well as be a valuable member to one’s team.
Stephan Munz who won the 2014 ACC outdoor title in the men’s pole vault, is currently pursuing a graduate degree and holds a 3.72 grade point average in Curriculum & Instruction.
Dowd, a former All-American, has held a 4.0 in Environmental and Policy Planning throughout her collegiate career.
Munz will be competing this weekend at the NCAA East Regional in hopes of qualifying for nationals.
First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
